Rachel’s knowledge-base and experience delivering what is the gold standard of trauma interventions make this course exception across all areas of best practice. Life changing— not only for the people we will go on to support, but for us just as much.

RACHEL IS THE ONLY PERSON I WOULD GO TO FOR ADVICE ON TRAUMA. THERE IS NEVER A STUPID QUESTION AND SHE IS ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP.

THE EXTENT OF HER KNOWLEDGE IS MASSIVE. THE MATERIAL AND KNOWLEDGE SHE SHARE THROUGH HER TRAINING AND SUPERVISION IS AMAZING CLEAR AND TO THE POINT.

AFTER THE TRAINING I NOW FEEL ABLE AND CONFIDENT TO HELP CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS WITH TRAUMA.

WHICH I WOULDN'T OF DONE BEFORE. I WOULD. I AM STILL ATTENDING TRAINING NOW AND LOOK FOR ANY NEW TRAINING SHE HAS AVAILABLE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND RACHEL SHE MADE BE ABLE TO HELP RATHER THAN POTENTIALLY RE TRAUMATISE CLIENTS.

For anyone who is working with addiction and people will also be working with trauma. The Level 5 Diploma ensures, that those who are working within the field, are able to use a safe and effective approach that is evidence based with measured outcomes.

The diploma is backed up by research and follows the UK guidelines of NICE, on how to work with both PTSD and Complex trauma. This is an excellent way in which you can demonstrate to CQC how you are working ethically and safely with clients. It is a measured strategy, that can evidence positive outcomes for services.

It can be used in one -one setting or adapted to be used in groups settings. It allows for therapists and drug & alcohol practitioners, to map from assessment stage right throughout their recovery, the exact treatment plan they will follow.

This diploma will help reduce to risk of relapse to those clients with PTSD and C-PTSD, with its targeted approach to treating trauma.

I found out about the level 5 diploma in complex PTSD and trauma through a newsletter from Marilyn Hawes at Freedom From Abuse.  I worked in a secondary school for 23 years and my final three years there were as vice-principal with responsibility for pastoral and welfare matters and I was also the designated safeguarding lead.
Rachel was clearly an expert in her field, I found what she had to say very inspiring.  A great feature of the course was the guest speakers - they are extremely knowledgeable and add variety.  I know so much more than I did a year ago, not just the neuroscience and the theory but also how to apply the techniques we have been taught and how and why they work.  More school staff need to know this stuff!
